    • Importance of the NCERT Book

Students should refer to the NCERT English book as it consists of thoroughly explained chapters. Additionally, the CBSE also suggests referring to this book for preparing for this exam. This book offers questions at the end of each chapter. That helps in comprehending the chapters easily.

    • Learn, Write And Revise

After learning all the concepts and topics, students should practise writing answers, followed by revising all the concepts that they have learnt. By following these three principles, students can easily score well in their English exams.

    • Practice Sample Papers And Previous Year’s Questions Papers

Sample papers and Previous Year Question Paper for CBSE Class 10 English are also considered as good course material as they give students a better understanding of the kind of questions that are asked in the exam. As it happens, most of the students are unable to score good marks in grammar and writing sections. As such, solving these papers can help you in enhancing your writing skills, and in getting a better understanding of the various grammar rules. Not to mention, they also help students in improving their writing speed so they can finish their exams in the allotted time.

    • Don’t Get Distracted

Students should strictly say “No” to all the social media platforms as they can easily distract them while studying. They should temporarily deactivate their accounts from Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc. so they can concentrate completely on their studies. They should utilise their “free time” to work on their weak points instead of wasting it on social media.

    • Make a Schedule

Preparing a timetable can help students in managing their time effectively. It will help them in giving equal time to each chapter and completing their syllabus on time.  Students must also include playtime in their study plan to avoid continuous studying and to refresh themselves. Meditating and exercising daily should also be inculcated in the routine.

    • Things to Do When Examination Day Comes

The night before the examination day is very important for all students.

At this time, students should not panic and should avoid indulging in new topics. They should revise their notes, and go through bullet points. Also, they should avoid consuming junk food, and must drink lots of water. Getting proper sleep of 7 to 8 hours is also highly recommended, as it will help you in waking up fresh on the day of your exam.

    • In the Examination Hall

Stay calm when the question papers are being distributed. Read the paper thoroughly and try to recall what you have studied. Attempt the questions in order and keep the answers to the given word limit. Additionally, make sure your answer sheet is absolutely neat and clear. Finally, try to finish your paper before the allotted time, and use the remaining time to revise your answers.

    All the best!
